- Symbolism: The white cross reflects the medical
mission of the unit and implies purity and integrity. The black
crossed double headed S-spanners to the solidity and support
of the unit's mission in maintenance. The heraldic frets are
emblematic of the interdependence and multiple support capabilities
of the unit; their interlacing reflects the various aspects of
the unit's mission and its importance to the total military preparedness.
The lion's head is symbolic of the unit's pride, strength and
determination, underscoring the unit's motto.
