Historic California Posts, Camps, Stations and Airfields:
Adobe Meadows Camp
 
Established as an outpost of Camp Independence by Captain Rowe and a company of troops. The post was occupied during June and July 1862. It was located 25 miles from Aurora and 95 miles from Camp Independence in Inyo County.
