Historic California Posts:
Camp McClear

There has been at least one indication than a "Camp McClear" was established on the Fresno River about the year 1851. There are, however, no archival records to confirm its existence. This post is contained in A Name List of Old Army Posts, Camps and Stations Arranged by States on file at the library of the US Army Center of Military History.
