Camp Orton

Located in Santa Rosa, Camp Orton was a temporary "summer camp" location for the California National Guard that operated during July of 1889. Only the 1st Infantry Regiment's Companies C and G from San Francisco have been identified as being at this camp. The camp was named for the then Adjutant General of California, Brigadier General Richard H. Orton.
