Camp San Jose
 

A temporary camp at San Jose, Santa Clara County, it was established during April 1848 and abandoned on September 6; 1848. It was apparently reoccupied during the Civil War in 1863.

A temporary National Guard camp with the same name existed at San Jose during the month of July of 1883. Photographic evidence on file at the US Army Military History Institute, Carlisle Barracks, PA shows Company C, 1st Infantry Regiment, National Guard of California as training at this camp.
