Located approximately 0.25 miles south of the Freeway 580, 80, and 880 interchange bordered by Wood and 34th, 28th and Cypress, and Willow and 26th Streets, Oakland, CA

Army use began in 1942 with the acquisition of 7.559 acres by four leases from several sources and a donated revocable permit. A warehouse and office buildings were constructed on the site in the 1930's, prior to Army use. The site was used as an open storage yard by the Army Air Forces during World War II. The 7.56 leased acres were canceled and the revocable permit was terminated during 1945 and 1946. Per this revocable permit the Army was to remove any paving done on the permitted parcels of land. There is no record of any Armyimprovements made on the site. The site is currently owned by a number of private interests. The property has been developed commercially as industrial warehouses and other businesses.
