- LAMBDEN, William "Jon"

- Captain, USNR: Entered Navy pre-flight
training and graduated in 1961 with triple honors at Pensacola.
Completing both NAO and NIS Schools he was designated an Intelligence
Officer with specialties in Photography, Photogrammetry and Radar
Scope Analysis.
He was assigned to the US Taiwan Patrol Force (CTF-72), making
numerous deployments aboard the flagships USS Pine Island, Currituck
and Salisbury Sound and serving on P2V, P5M, and P3A patrol aircraft.
Reporting to Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron One (VQ-1) in
April 1964, he flew as Navigator and Observer in EC-121 "Connies"
and EA-3B "Peter Rabbit" Sky Warriors.

- Beginning in 1965 he served as EWO in
combat sorties during Rolling Thunder Operations in the Gulf
of Tonkin and received the first of three letters of commendation.

- Released to inactive duty in Japan he
began drilling as a "Weekend Warrior" in over fifty
countries on all seven seas and continents. From 1980 to 1995
he served as OIC NR DEFENSE ATTACHE 0166 and CO of VTU-0120 NAS
Alameda.

- He wears NAO Wings of Gold, the Defense
Joint Meritorious and Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Expeditionary,
Overseas Service, National Defense, Vietnam Service, And Armed
Forces Reserve Medals.
He retired aboard the USS Hornet (CVA-12).
- LANGSTAFF, Hap

- Lieutenant Colonel, USMC Ret. Served as
a Marine Fighter Pilot in WWII and Korea. Credited with downing
three Japanese Zeros in WWII. He retired in July 1962 after serving
21 years in a number of Marine Commands including two tours as
commanding officer of Marine fighter squadron VMF314 and VMF115.
Hap grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa. Graduated from the University
of Michigan and Stanford. Graduate School and currently resides
in Sacramento California where Hap was employed at Aerojet Corporation
for 25 years and Has been with the California State Military
Museum as a docent for 11 years. Combat medals include the Distinguish
Flying Cross, Five Air Medals, Presidential unit Citation, American
Defense service Medal, Asiatic-PACFIC Campaign Medal W/3 Stars,
Victory Medal WWII, National defense service Medal, Korean Service
Medal W/2 stars, United Nation Service Medal, Korean Presidential
Unit Citation, VS- Republic of China Medal, Defense Medal and
California state military History Medal.
