Historic California Posts, Camps, Stations and Airfields
Camp Boynton Prairie

Located east of Eureka in Humboldt County, the camp was active from March to July 1864. It was established by Captain Thomas Buckley, with Company C, 6th Infantry, California Volunteers and elements of the 1st Battalion of Mountaineers, California Volunteers. It was a tent camp that has completely dissapperared, but the name is still used at the farm site south east of Arcata.
