- Located east of Eureka
in Humboldt County, the camp was active from March to July 1864.
It was established by Captain Thomas Buckley, with Company C,
6th Infantry,
California Volunteers
and elements of the 1st
Battalion of Mountaineers, California Volunteers. It was
a tent camp that has completely dissapperared, but the name is
still used at the farm site south east of Arcata
